Making Democracy Work

Action and Advocacy

We are truly a grassroots organization...

League positions are used to advocate on issues.

Positions Support Action

League advocacy starts with its members who select, study, and seek consensus on issues concerning the public. When consensus is reached, the League has a "position". League positions are used to advocate FOR policies, legislation, and ballot measures which best seem to serve the public interest and AGAINST proposals which conflict with those goals. Without an appropriate position, the League can not speak to an issue.
